Resource:YUEQING COPEN ELECTRIC CO.,LTD. Clicknum:

From January to June, the power generation capacity of power plants above Designated Size in China was 3194.5 billion kwh, an increase of 8.30% year on year, and the growth rate was 2.0 percentage points higher than that of the same period last year. Among them: the thermal power generation capacity of power plants above Designated Size nationwide is 2388.7 billion kwh, up 8.0% year-on-year, and the growth rate is 0.9 percentage points higher than that of the same period last year; the hydropower generation capacity is 461.8 billion kwh, up 2.90% year-on-year, and the growth rate is 7.1 percentage points higher than that of the same period last year.

From January to June, the cumulative average utilization hours of power generation equipment in China were 1858 hours, an increase of 68 hours over the same period of last year. From January to June, the newly increased power generation capacity of the national infrastructure construction was 52.11 million kilowatts, 1.55 million kilowatts more than that of the same period last year. The new generation capacity increased year on year. Electricity consumption: from January to June of the same period last year, the electricity consumption of the whole society in China was 3229.1 billion kwh, up 9.4% year on year, and the growth rate was 3.1 percentage points higher than that of the same period last year.

From January to June, the power consumption of the primary industry was 32.8 billion kwh, up 10.3% year-on-year, accounting for 1.1% of the total social power consumption; the power consumption of the secondary industry was 2233.6 billion kwh, up 7.6% year-on-year, accounting for 69.2% of the total social power consumption, contributing to the growth of the total social power consumption 56.5%; the power consumption of the tertiary industry is 507.1 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 14.7%, accounting for 15.7% of the total social power consumption and 23.4% of the total social power consumption; the domestic power consumption of urban and rural residents is 455.5 billion kwh, a year-on-year increase of 13.2%, accounting for 14.1% of the total social power consumption and 19.0% of the total social power consumption. Recently, the national development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the National Energy Administration (NEA) jointly issued the notice on further improving the trading mechanism by actively promoting electricity market trading.

The notice clearly requires to improve the scale of market-oriented trading electricity, speed up the development of electricity consumption plan, promote various forms of power supply and eligible users to participate in the transaction, and fully open the power generation and consumption plan for four industries of coal, steel, nonferrous metals and building materials in 2018. We will improve the electricity price adjustment mechanism for medium and long-term contract transactions, and encourage both parties to agree in the contract to establish a market price formation mechanism in various forms, such as "benchmark electricity price + floating mechanism", linkage with coal price, product price or adjustment with other factors. Industry rating: maintain the "neutral" industry investment rating. At present, thermal power accounts for more than 70% of the total power generation. Considering the high price of coal, therefore, maintain the "neutral" rating of the power industry. We can pay attention to the progress of electric power reform, the companies that increase profit and improve the utilization hours of thermal power, and the companies that benefit from the peak season of hydropower.
